Ragi Dosa Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup ragi flour (finger millet flour)
- ½ cup rice flour
- ¼ cup curd (yogurt)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- A handful of fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
- Graminn Organik Oil for cooking
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Batter
- In a bowl, mix ragi flour, rice flour, and salt.
- Add curd and enough water to make a smooth, thin batter. It should be runnier than regular dosa batter.
- Stir in chopped onions, green chilies, coriander leaves, and cumin seeds. Let the batter rest for 10-15 minutes.
Step 2: Cook the Dosa
- Heat a non-stick or cast-iron tawa (griddle) on medium heat. Grease lightly with Graminn Organik oil.
- Pour a ladleful of batter in a circular motion, starting from the edges and filling the center. Ragi dosa spreads naturally; no need to spread it like regular dosa.
- Drizzle a few drops of oil around the edges. Cook until the edges turn crisp and the surface looks cooked.
- Flip the dosa carefully and cook for another minute if desired (optional).
Step 3: Serve
Serve hot with coconut chutney, sambar, or spicy tomato chutney. Enjoy a healthy, wholesome meal!
